Empower Labs Memphis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies in the Memphis area. We offer AI training programs aimed at empowering individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities. Our goal is to provide equitable access to AI education and to help bridge the digital divide by offering resources, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

We believe AI IS FOR EVERYONE, our AI training huddles are open to anyone interested in learning AI, regardless of their background or experience level. Whether you’re a student, recent graduate, Blue collar professional looking to upskill, or someone completely new to AI, you’re welcome to join. We particularly encourage participation from individuals in underrepresented groups in technology, such as African Americans, women, and other minority communities.

You can apply for our AI training huddles through our website, where you’ll find detailed information about current and upcoming programs. The application process typically involves filling out an online form with your personal information and answering a few questions about your interest in AI. No prior experience is necessary, though some huddles may have prerequisites or suggested equipment (i.e. Computer/Tablet)

Most of our AI training programs are offered free of charge, thanks to partnerships and donations that help fund our mission. However, some advanced programs may have a nominal fee. We also offer financial assistance and scholarships to ensure that no one is turned away due to financial limitations.

There are several ways to support Empower Labs Memphis! You can volunteer your time as a mentor, instructor, or event coordinator, or you can partner with us to offer internships or job placements for our graduates. We also accept donations to help us expand our reach and provide more free training opportunities to the community.
